Ingredients

  • 110 g neutral oil
  • 60 g milk or buttermilk
  • 10 g apple cider vinegar
  • 5 g Dijon mustard
  • 3 g salt
  • 1 cloves garlic clove, grated
  • 1 g dried dill
  • 1 g onion powder
  • 1 g garlic powder
  • 30 g milk for thinning
  • 10 g fresh chives or parsley, finely chopped
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Put the oil, 2.1 oz milk, vinegar, Dijon mustard, and salt in a tall narrow container. Use an immersion blender on high speed for 20–30 seconds, until the mixture is thick like mayonnaise.

  2. 2

Blend in the grated garlic, dried dill, onion powder, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

Add the extra 1.1 oz milk a splash at a time, blending between additions, until the dressing reaches your desired consistency.

  4. 4

Stir in the fresh chives or parsley by hand so they remain as flecks instead of turning the whole dressing green. Taste and adjust salt and black pepper as needed.
